Derby Choral Union perform in Alstonefield

A lovely sunny day on Saturday came to a fitting conclusion with Derby Choral Union’s performance at St. Peter’s Church, conducted by Richard Dacey.

The concert began with a wonderful rendition of Vivaldi’s Gloria, featuring talented soloists from the choir. Derby Cathedral Organist, Tom Corfield, accompanied the choir and also performed some solo pieces.

Derby Choral Union gave a wonderful performance on a warm Saturday evening.

Just a brief note to say "thank you" once again to you and your colleagues at DCU for such a lovely concert last night. Choice of music was excellent, if somewhat challenging in some cases, and the setting was superb. It was good to hear you all with only the organ as accompaniment; a beautiful sound
filled the church.
