How to apply and
info. about
rehearsals |
| If you'd like to come along, do get in touch with our New Members Co-ordinator either through the website or by 'phoning Antony on 01332 258 338. |
First rehearsal...
|
When you first come along, try to arrive a bit earlier than 7:30 when the rehearsal starts - say about 7.15 pm. Then we'd have time to meet you, sort out copies of music and fill in a brief form.
To get here, see Rehearsals on the More info page. |
After a few rehearsals...
|
| If after a few rehearsals you'd like to join, then after a short voice test (see below), we'd be delighted to welcome you into whichever section is best suited for your voice. There are usually vacancies in all voice ranges (soprano, alto, tenor and bass). |
Voice test...
|
Before formally joining the choir, we do ask you to take a short (non-stressful, honest!) voice test to confirm that you can sing in tune and work from a choral score. All we ask is that you have a reasonable (but not necessarily trained) voice, with average sight-reading ability.
This then enables you to be placed in the right voice section.
The Musical Director will arrange for this to be done at your convenience after you've been to a few rehearsals. |
Attendance...
|
| Note that there is a requirement for attendance of at least two thirds of rehearsals if you wish to sing in the next concert - although this is at the discretion of the MD. |
| Choir Uniform... |
| Come the concert, this is what we wear:
